THE PATTERN

LOOK BEYOND A SINGLE CLUE.

Sea Turtle is the DYD metabolic deceleration pattern. The approved framework asks the practitioner to consider thyroid-related information together with energy, temperature regulation, symptoms, history, and the circumstances shaping metabolic pace.

The archetype is a way to organize information for practitioner review. It is not a diagnosis and does not mean every person with this pattern will have the same symptoms or needs.

TWO CLINICAL LENSES · ONE BIGGER PICTURE

FUNCTIONAL INFORMATION MEETS PATTERN-BASED THINKING.

FM

FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE LENS

The practitioner protocol describes a spectrum of thyroid hypofunction patterns and emphasizes that different sub-patterns require different clinical interpretation. Thyroid conditions require appropriate medical monitoring.

中

TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE LENS

The approved TCM lens is Kidney Yang Deficiency with Spleen Qi Deficiency. DYD describes this as a relationship between foundational warming function and the Spleen’s transformation role, with cold, dampness, and stagnation forming part of the practitioner pattern picture.

IN CONTEXT
WHY CONTEXT CHANGES THE CONVERSATION

THE SAME ARCHETYPE CAN LOOK DIFFERENT FROM PERSON TO PERSON.

A primary archetype may also appear alongside supporting archetype influences. When supported by approved DYD logic, this combination may be described as a Metabolic Constellation. The purpose is not to add more labels—it is to help the practitioner see how multiple patterns may interact within the whole clinical picture.

PRACTITIONER GUIDANCE

ORGANIZE THE INFORMATION. KEEP THE JUDGMENT HUMAN.

Decode Your Dolphin helps connect symptoms, bloodwork, health history, questionnaire information, and clinical patterns into a clearer framework for review and communication. Technology may help organize information, but clinical interpretation and decisions remain with the practitioner.

Educational information only. Metabolic Archetypes are patterns, not diagnoses, and are not a substitute for individualized medical evaluation or treatment.
